Joe Monello

Owner & COO

Joe’s roots as a landscaper run deep. Early in his High School days, he began cutting lawns in his spare time, providing early evidence of his spirit as an entrepreneur. He continued that work throughout his time at Rutgers University, where he earned a degree in Environmental Planning and Design. In 1996, Joe was able to turn his passion for horticulture and design into a reality by establishing Monello Landscape Industries. With his hands-on leadership approach, attention to detail and eye for natural beauty, Joe has committed the company to providing the most knowledgeable, innovative, and skilled work available. Thanks to him, Monello Landscape Industries is able to provide both the highest quality work and experience.
As an innovator, Joe has seen to it that his team members are not only exceptionally well qualified, but also very well prepared with the most current, technologically advanced equipment available. Joe is an esteemed member of the community with work that has been heralded as exceptional in periodicals such as Ramsey’s Suburban News. He has created and overseen a wide variety of landscapes over the past twenty years—from large to small; his projects in all areas of landscaping have varied from the award-winning to those that simply win the hearts of his clients. Along with Claudia Monello, Joe is responsible for the company’s day to day affairs with unrivaled dedication to customer satisfaction.
Claudia Monello

Owner & CFO

Claudia is a graduate of Montclair State University with degrees in Business Marketing and Business Administration. She also holds a Law Degree from New York Law School. Working with Monello Landscape Industries for over a decade now, her background in business has proven almost as invaluable as her friendly, personable nature and passion for providing clients with exceptional, stress-free experiences. Under Claudia’s capable and qualified leadership, Monello Landscape Industries became a certified Woman-Owned Business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
Claudia oversees the day to day office administration and handles relations with the valued clients of Monello Landscape. Her passion for providing excellent customer service is evident in every project from the first contact to the final walk through, helping to build creative relationships with clients that, like the projects Monello Landscape undertakes, stand the test of time. As a bilingual American, Claudia is comfortable conducting business in Spanish as well as English. Along with Joe, she has a hand in every company decision, assuring smooth running system implementations and an outstanding customer experience.
Patrick Hickerson

General Manager

Patrick has served as an invaluable asset to the organization. Coming to manage all operational aspects within the company after receiving a B.S from Ithaca College in Business Administration, which he attended while on a Football Scholarship. His competitive edge and outstanding work ethic led him to own and operate a successful business before joining Monello Landscape Industries. To this point, Patrick has accrued hands on experience in all areas of our company. He has held a great leadership role for the company.
His key responsibilities include overseeing and managing job sites within all aspects, including site planning, construction, planting, and snow removal. Patrick is exceedingly qualified in all areas including being ICPI Certified, NCMA SRW (National Concrete Masonry Assoc Segmental Retaining Wall certified) as well as being certified in many other product certifications such as Techo Bloc, Cambridge and many others.
Joe Giorgio

Divisional Maintenance Manager

Joseph Giorgio is our Area Maintenance Manager here at Monello Landscape Industries. He comes to us after owning and managing his own landscaping company for over five years. With over twelve total years in the green industry he has held such roles as manager, operational supervisor, and foreman. He is certified in pesticide applications, fertilization, ICPI, and NCMA.
With a strong understanding of employee management, customer relations, and business development Joe is a strong new addition to the MLI team. His appreciation for a well maintained property keeps him focused and always looking for ways to improve. When he is not working he likes to fish, go quadding, take trips to Florida, and spend time at home with his wife, Kimberly.
Peter Madley

Enhancement Manager

Peter has 25 years of experience in the landscape field. His experience ranges in all phases of landscape maintenance from plantings to possessing a good working knowledge of irrigation. Prior to Monello Landscape Industries, LLC., he has worked for landscape companies, and he has owned his own business for three years. Peter spent 15 years specifically in dealing with turf and ornamentals.
During that time, he was a licensed pesticide applicator. In addition to developing turf and ornamental programs, he created custom seed blends for a few of the companies he worked for. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, and he likes to golf whenever he gets the chance.
Scott Santers

Morris, Passaic, & Essex Area Maintenance Manager

Scott Santers is the Area Maintenance Manager servicing the areas of Passaic, Morris, and Essex counties of New Jersey. Scott started his career as a mason in the International Union Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen. He then joined forces with his brother to build a landscape and masonry company for 22 years before joining us at Monello Landscape Industries.
Scott is very active in his community: he is a member of the Board of Education for Pompton Lakes School District. He also holds a position as a commissioner for the PAL basketball league, and he is active in St. Mary’s Church as a teacher for confirmation. Scott is married to Kathy, and they have two daughters, Paige and Brooke. As a family, they are puppy raisers and raise Seeing Eye dogs for the blind.
Chris Fairchild

Bergen County Area Maintenance Manager

Chris began his career with hands on experience in landscape design, garden maintenance, and in local nurseries. He has also earned a Bachelor degree in landscape architecture from Syracuse University and traveled abroad to France and Japan studying the cultural connections within the built environment. Today he specializes in client communication, plant knowledge and care, hand graphics, and seasonal landscape design.
By paying close attention to current news and trends within the industry, Chris helps Monello Landscape Industries lead an ever growing industry.
Michael Delaney

Estimating & Design Manager

Michael is the Estimating and Design Manager at MLI. He has joined our team after graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Environmental Planning and design and a minor in plant science. Michael comes in offering a fresh and modern outlook. His perspective on Landscaping design and implementation is in line with the MLI core beliefs and goals.
On a personal level, Michael is a sports enthusiast with a strong fan loyalty to the Yankees. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes lifting weights, exercising, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Michael brings a welcomed and exciting new dimension to our company.
Jesse Graziano

Estimate & Design Associate

Jesse Graziano is our Landscape Designer, Sales Representative, and Estimator at Monello Landscape Industries. He graduated from County College of Morris in 2017 with a degree in Agribusiness. He is the­­ lead designer, in sales, and an additional estimator. When Jesse is not working, he enjoys golfing, fishing, quadding, and is a volunteer fire fighter for Whippany, NJ. ­
Parker Tubman

Marketing & Productions Assistant

Parker has prior experience in marketing and brings his knowledge into the landscape industry. He received his B.A. from Ramapo College of New Jersey in Social Science concentrating his coursework in Business and Labor Studies. His responsibilities include managing the marketing department, website designing, social media marketing, and production assistant tasks. He works firsthand with Joe Monello.
Parker enjoys traveling anytime he is free and takes care of his pet cat. Some of his hobbies include spending time with friends, competing in board games, collecting retro video games, hiking, playing soccer, and swimming at the beach.
